Escuela Militar De Ingenieria

In 1950, as a result of a process of organizational and analytical studies the Army Staff Bolivia led to the creation of a Technical Institute academic level, with the responsibility to train army officers, expand academic offerings in 1980.

By 2226 DS in 1950 and subsequent Law 286 of 10 November 1951, as a result of a process of organizational studies by the Army of Bolivia, as a result of strategic needs identified during the Chaco War and based on models Military Engineering institutes in Brazil, USA and Mexico, the General Staff of Army determined the creation of the Military School of Engineering with responsibility for training army officers in the specialties of Construction Engineer and Geodesta; giving it the name "Mariscal Antonio Jose de Sucre", in tribute to who was one of the first military engineers.
