A recent report found that much stronger progress is made by students studying within a sixth form college than in any other post-16 environment and this is certainly reflected in the results achieved by students at Ashton Sixth Form College.

"The College also caters for around 1000 part-time adult students per year on courses from Level 1 to Higher Education. Part-time courses for adults are run on site from late afternoon or in the evenings or at community venues and out at employer premises during the day.

Our college community includes over 200 dedicated staff who are focused on ensuring that all our students have every opportunity to learn, enjoy and achieve at college and ultimately progress successfully to higher education, employment or training.We measure our examination success using a system known as ALPS (Advanced Level Performance Systems).

ALPS measures our performance, based on previous exam results, against other colleges throughout Britain."
