The Empee Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology has come in to existence on 5th August 1994. Mr. M. P.Purushothaman is the Chairman and Founder of the Empee Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. He has a versatile personality who is actively involved with several industrial and educational activities.

He is the chairman of well known “Empee Group” consisting of Star Hotels, Alcoholic Beverages, Sugar Mills, Chemicals, Distilleries, Power generation etc.

He has created the Empee Educational and charitable trust with a noble object of establishing educational institutions, particularly professional colleges and technical schools to impact quality education. Mr.M.P.Purushothaman is basically hotelier who is closely associated with the so many hospitality organization.

He is the past President of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association and President of Tamilnadu Owners Association. His rich experience contributes to strong linkage between institution and hotel industry which enhance the employability and many exciting career opportunities to our students.
